Welcome to my art school

I'm a mixed media artist and I create using found objects, old papers and photographs. I’m fascinated by materials that have had a previous life. I love to create stories; to present forgotten materials in a way that makes them beautiful, profound and sometimes, humourous.

I work mainly with stitch, collage, assemblage, and encaustic wax. Here in my art school I’ll be sharing some of my techniques and projects with you.

I'm also the author of 'Artful Memories; How to make unique art with old photographs'.

My happy place

I'm never happier than when I'm in my studio, trying out new ideas and getting excited as one leads to another... to get in the flow and realise that hours have flown by.

I believe that everyone can, and should, have a route to express themselves creatively regardless of how experienced they are as an artist.

I love to share my ideas and techniques so that others can also feel that excitement and create their own beautiful art.

I use lots of vintage materials in my artwork and love sourcing it from flea markets. Take a look at my Etsy shop, for beautiful vintage ephemera to use in your artworks.
